It is with heavy heart that I report that Jane Jamison, a friend and fellow CPAC blogger has passed away. Jane Jamison is a pseudonym adopted by this conservative stalwart who lived ‘behind enemy lines’ in uber-liberal San Francisco.
Jane has edited Uncoverage.net for several years and was always on the cutting edge of any story.
I have nominated posts from Jane several times during my time as a Council Member with the Watcher of Weasels Council and I am happy to say she has done well in the rankings.
I first met Jane at CPAC in 2010 when I sat behind her in the Blogger’s Lounge. She was a very private person and had come to work. We spoke about her unique situation being one of the top Conservative bloggers and living in one of the most liberal cities in the world.
After meeting her, Uncoverage.net became a daily read for me.
We met up again at CPAC 2011 when she became frustrated with the internet access problems and ended up going back to her room and watching the the event on TV. She grumbled at the time that she would not be returning to CPAC in 2012. The lack of internet service was a frustration for her.
Little did I know how true that would be.
Her last post was August 26, 2011 and simply said:
“I will be dealing with a family emergency for a few days.”
There are few details of her death, and I do not know her real name. But she was a force for the Right and her presence will be missed.
Rest in Peace, Jane Jamison!
